I confess, I'm a wallpaper fan. But... it definitely depends on the pattern. It can go from original and refreshing to dated and fad like.
And nowadays you can really find anything from floral patterns and geometric prints to textures such as concrete. The latter is one of my personal favourites and currently on my radar for an upcoming project. These can add some interest to a room without being too busy and "shouty". Perfect if you're more of a minimalist.
